URBAN DECAY NAKED RELOADED EYESHADOW PALETTE REVIEW | BEAUTY

In February, I was invited to the most amazing, intimate affair with Urban Decay. We were saying goodbye to the OG Urban Decay Naked eyeshadow palette. And also welcoming the Urban Decay Naked Reloaded eyeshadow palette to the family. I have loved every Urban Decay eyeshadow palette I have come in contact with. Naked Basics is the eyeshadow palette that has been used more that any item I own. I am also a HUGE fan of the Born To Run eyeshadow palette, & the Naked Heat eyeshadow palette too. So, needless to say, my expectations for the Naked Reloaded eyeshadow palette were high.

REINVENT.

REDEFINE.

RETHINK NEUTRAL.

Urban Decay describes the Naked Reloaded eyeshadow palette as being a universally flattering 12 colour eyeshadow palette. It is said to be designed for all ages, genders & skintones.

Naked Reloaded contains a range of matte, metallic & micro-shimmer eyeshadows. Of the 12 eyeshadows, 8 are regular sized pans; 2 are slightly larger; with the remaining 2 being even larger. I’m not sure about you, but I often hit pan on 1 or 2 shades in a palette with the remaining shades not being used nearly as much. Urban Decay really did a great job by taking that into account & designing the palette accordingly. Boundaries is a great transition shade even though it has a slight shimmer. It is effortlessly blendable & requires little to no effort to work with; even for someone with less experience with make-up. Bucked is the safe transition shade. And Retro, the wild card transition shade Urban Decay is daring you to use in your crease. I actually love the idea of Retro as a transition because 1. Coral is Pantone’s Colour Of The Year and 2. Coral makes for a beautiful pairing with the range of shimmer shades available in the palette.

I feel like there are so many shimmers & metallics to choose from in the Naked Reloaded palette. There are champagne, bronze, brown, golden, rose gold & grey shimmers/metallics which allows one to create a variety of looks. I don’t know about you, but I could use the same transition shade in every look, but it’s the shimmer shade that makes that look appear different.

The Naked Reloaded palette is great for beginners looking to invest in an eyeshadow palette that will give them endless use. This palette will be great when you are learning & perfecting your skills. But it will also be great when you master those skills. I would consider myself ‘experienced’ when it comes to eyeshadow, & I am loving this palette. I am not bored because I create a different look each time I use it. Naked Reloaded really is that versatile.

Priced at R695.00, Naked Reloaded is much cheaper than other regular sized Naked palettes which are R860 / R875. This is MAJOR bang for your buck in my opinion.  BUY HERE.

I was gifted this item in PR, however I would totally spend my own money on it. The quality of the eyeshadows, & versatility of the palette make it a dream to work with. And I would absolutely recommend it to you!
